New Hayward Field to welcome athletes a year after Covid postponement

The dream has been delayed but not denied for 40+ Missouri athletes who will be competing at the USA Olympic Track and Field Trials that begin Friday, June 18, and run thru Sunday, June 27. The Coronavirus pandemic forced the postponement of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games and most other sporting events from March thru August of 2020.

A reduced number of tickets are being sold for the Olympic Trials that are being held at the brand-new Hayward Field, the $200-million track and facility that replaces the original, historic facility that was opened more than a hundred years ago.
